What I Believe

I believe in doing things differently. I believe in breaking conventional traditions that aren’t your jam so you can create new ones that are. I believe in thinking outside the box and that nothing is off-limits.

I believe in handmade, do-it-yourself, and make-it-from-scratch. I believe in garage sales, flea markets, and thrift stores. I believe in pavilions, warehouses, and your parents’ backyard.

But most of all, I believe your wedding should tell your story and be a celebration of your love – because that’s the whole point, isn’t it?

What I Do

I’m a wedding designer and stylist that uses handmade details and unique decor elements to tell your story on the most important day of your life. My style is a mix of vintage, modern, and eclectic, and I pretty much always prefer making over buying. While I don’t plan your day (but can recommend some really great people who can), you better believe I’ll make it look awesome – and I’ll help you create a wedding that feels just as magical as it looks.

Who I Am

I’m Janelle, and I call Cleveland, Ohio home. I live in a 100-year old home full of thrift store finds in the suburbs with my husband and two crazy dogs. I find new things to love about this city every day – however, I wouldn’t say no if you asked me to help you with your destination wedding in France. Just sayin’.

My number one passion in life is creating – a beautiful wedding, a perfectly wrapped gift, a delicious meal, a cozy home, a pretty quilt, a lasting friendship, a wonderful memory. I think life gives us endless opportunities to create, which I find pretty spectacular.

Some of my very favorite things include: evenings spent on my backyard patio, really amazing cheese, my husband’s sense of humor, any cocktail containing ginger beer and/or gin, watching the sun rise, bike rides on warm summer days, twinkle lights, a sky filled with snow, runs through my neighborhood, morning yoga, a great playlist, long conversations in coffee shops, avocados, vintage drinkware, the soft glow of candles, and moccasin slippers (not necessarily in that order).

That’s a little bit of my story. I can’t wait to meet you and hear yours.
